The
Farnham Community Task Force was set up as a "stakeholder group" for Farnham Town in 2001 by Acting Superintendent
Neil Boon. Its mission statement is "to identify
and address community concerns regarding crime and
disorder, and to provide solutions".
The first meeting
of the Farnham Community Task Force was held in
October 2001, and it has met every two to three
months since then. The minutes of meetings are available for public inspection. |
The
members of the group
currently include Farnham Town Councillors and Council staff,
representatives from Surrey Police and Fire Services, Waverley
Borough Council Community Safety Officers, the
Chairman of the Crime Prevention Panel, and representatives from
Neighbourhood Watch, Pub Watch, 40 Degreez, UCA
students, and local voluntary organisations.
Representatives of other organisations are also
invited to attend from time to time. The Farnham
Community Task Force is financed by
Farnham
Town Council.
The purpose of the
Farnham Community Task Force is to look at the
issues contributing to crime and disorder in the area
of Farnham Town and surrounding villages,
and to find solutions to these problems. You
can contact
the Task Force to report any problems through
this web site. |
